About Tiny Green Farm

Tiny Green Farm is a microbusiness, growing and selling microgreens in the middle of Iowa’s corn farms. Our mission is to provide customers with a nutrient-dense crop, allowing them to follow a healthy diet, and to promote sustainable local agriculture and shopping.

Although we are surrounded by vast corn and soy fields, we are essentially an urban farm. Our indoor vertical operation is capable of growing microgreens all year round, and has minimal impact on the environment. We use organic growing methods and compost all of our farm waste, which we use in our vegetable garden or give away to our neighbors.

We started our business in the fall of 2019 and focused on delivering directly to customers and restaurants, as well as having a table at the summer outdoor farmer market in our town. We are fortunate to be part of an enthusiastic hyperlocal farming community that grows organic produce and a customer base that appreciates its local farmers and food producers.

We value sustainability and we strive to support local food production and distribution.

We love educating others about growing and eating microgreens, so we created a library of articles on our website for anyone to use.

We love supporting local businesses. We are currently working with the restaurant Green Organic/Depot House. We look forward to collaborating with other restaurants and grocery stores.
